We had a super weekend visiting our family up north. We explored the Philly zoo, walked the neighborhood, played on a nearby playground, and just relaxed.
Some highlights were hearing Cooper ask to see his aunts and uncles. He made requests like "See Peter" or "Go to Sam's house". Our favorite was how "Auntie Emily" came out as "Tauntie Fanny". Love!! He gave Uncle Peter a workout at the playground, going up the stairs and down the slide over and over.

Potty talk
This post will be TMI for most of you. Remember, this blog is how we keep track of milestones in Cooper's life, and we have just surpassed a big one - his first poop in the potty!!!
It actually happened last week (July 16th). Jason got the honors of witnessing it - I was at my ladies Bible Study. Of course they had to call me to tell me what had happened. I thought something was terribly wrong, and was relieved once I heard why they were calling!
Cooper is really interested in the potty and has started to request to use it. We weren't planning to officially potty train till much later, but now feels like the right time to try. So we're going hard core this weekend - underwear, timer, sticker charts, etc.. If it fails miserably after a couple of weeks, we'll put it on hold and try again later.
Potty training here we come!!
