Sleep woes

I love being a mom.  I really do.  It melts my heart when Cooper smiles and giggles, I love playing with him, cuddling with him, feeding him, going for walks.  But I'm really starting to wonder if we will ever get a good night's sleep again...and if we do, will it last more than 2 nights in a row?!  Every time I think we're on the right track, it's over in a flash!

Even more challenging is sorting through all of the opinions to decide what might "fix" the problems.  Tough love, cry it out, Ferber method, soothe him to sleep, don't soothe him to sleep.  My brain is full, and poor Cooper probably has an identity crisis because I can't decide on one method and stick with it.

I know that each child is different, we have to find what works for us, we need to be consistent, and we need to help Cooper find some resemblance of a routine.  So that's our goal as we reach the 6-month mark with our little guy!  Keep you posted on how things go...

We're eating squash, apples, and pears now.

I eat pears now!

We've had a busy month with 4th of July, lots of birthdays, and my little sister's wedding.  Cooper is really growing up fast...and quite literally, I think he is growing more up than out these days.

We started experimenting with solids several weeks ago.  So far, pears are the clear winner.  Apples are tolerated.  Rice cereal and oatmeal are a no-go!  Hopefully by the time Cooper is 6 months, he will start to develop a taste for more foods.

My little sister's wedding was beautiful.  We completely lucked out with amazing weather to complete the perfect backyard wedding at my parent's house.  Cooper gained an Uncle Sam as a result!
